The Military Department employs State of Vermont civilian Force Protection Officers (FPO) that support the Air National Guard Security Forces Squadron at the Burlington Air National Guard Base. Our FPOs protect Guard members, civilian personnel, military aircraft, hangers and other specialized buildings. Additionally, FPOs control entry to the Base and restricted areas, respond to emergencies, and provide limited military law enforcement services along side our military partners.
